  • A copy of application having instructions for submitting by email

If you want to make your email cover letter attention grabber then you should include such kind of information that will make the employer’s intention to open your resume.

  • Read all application instructions & guidelines carefully. You should ensure that you completely follow all instructions regarding how to submit your resume & cover letter through email.
  • In subject line of email write position for which you are applying like “Financial Manager” or “Project manager”.
  • Start the email with greetings like with the name of contact person like “Dear Mr. Michael” and if you don’t know the name of hiring authorities then you can write as “Dear Hiring Manager”.
  • In the body, email cover letter includes details how or from where you heard about position you are applying for. You can write as “I read about your search for candidates for position A in job bulletin B”.
  • Describe your qualifications as they relate to job requirements. Mention all qualifications which are specific to job requirements. Be specific concise and to-the-point. Write your expectations regarding their action like “I am looking forward to hear from you” or you can mention your actions like “I will call you after few days to discuss my further qualifications”.
  • In complimentary close include formal closings like “Sincerely or Best regards”.
  • You should include your electronic signatures including your full name. Include your contact information (telephone numbers and email) under your name in block format so that hiring authorities may locate you promptly in order to contact you.
  • Draft your cover letter in MS word format or any other text editor. Make sure that there are no spellings, grammatical and typos errors in cover letter before sending it to prospective employer then paste it in text box of email.
