Resume Writing Tips

Resume is a “Marketing Broacher” for any job seeker through which he/she showcases his competencies and skills to employer. The basic purpose of every resume is to get an interview leading job. Therefore this step requires great care because resume is a vital tool in job hunting. Some simple mistakes can create your bad impression upon employer. Below I have list down some common mistakes and tips to avoid from these mistakes so that your resume may facilitate you with desired results:

• After designing your resume proofread it again and again. Don’t depend on computer for spell check to scan and remove your mistakes.
• Check provided contact details and timely update your resume like if you have changed your residence then promptly mention it into your resume because if employer cannot contact you he has no problem he will provide this chance to other candidate.
• If you are going to include your past experiences then mention your employment dates completely including company name, months and years of joining & leaving.
• When you are writing your job experience completely list your achievements and accomplishments in quantifying manner (if Possible) and illustrate practical example within each achievement.
• Your resume should reflect your whole education in proper way. Avoid providing irrelevant and false details. If you increase the length of your resume by including your hobbies and interests then your resume cannot access to employer’s table it can only access to reach trash bin.
• Include some action words into your resume to create energy resume. Take care of your resume font be sure that your resume is readable if you want to copy it in another place.
• Use good quality white paper for your resume, use bold headings, bulleted points and plain & simple fonts for resume. Avoid mixed & tiny fonts and colored papers.
