Tips to Write Resume for Security Guard Jobs
Security guard is privately employed person who get remuneration against protection of property, assets or human beings. Security officers act as protector by maintaining active visual presence to detect criminals or improper actions. Security guard observes his surroundings directly or through patrols or by watching alarm system and video cameras. The duties of a security guard vary organization to organization and he is responsible to carry out wide range of duties and responsibilities. The resume of a security guard needs to have more information on past experiences and abilities. The basic reason behind this is that employer would select a person who has capability to perform all duties in perfect and effectual way.
Write an excellent resume for security guard jobs:
- Experience related information plays a vital role in security guard resume so you should put great stress on experience section of resume. Your past experience whether you worked as a security officer or job in surveillance must be explained in such a way that should grab the attention of interviewer at first glance.
- If you have familiarity with electronic equipments or acquire any training for working with closed circuits TV cameras, data processing equipments, radio communications and other security related equipments then mention them in your resume. - If you have earned licenses, you can mention them in your resume with proper authentications of local authorities which shows that you don’t have criminal record or background. If you are licensed to carry gun then mention it too.
- A driving license with a clean record like no criminal background and no police record is a common requirement for those who are applying for security guard jobs. Let the employer check your background record even if your job doesn’t require driving skills.
- You can take extra classes or appear in driving exams if you feel that your license record is not best and up to the mark.
- Security guards usually get trainings after employment to take perfect control over legal issues like crises and report writing. If you already have all these skills then mention them in your resume so that it may increase your chances for employment.
